How We Got Here

• Bearings Manufacturing Company (BMC) was established in 1934 by Les Berry, founder of the Berry Bearing distributor network. It was created to recondition bearings for the local industry, which were in short supply during the Depression years.

• BMC was purchased by the Genuine Parts Company subsidiary Motion Industries for $300 Million along with parent company Berry Bearing Co.

• Steve Sivo, founder of Bearing and Drive Systems Inc purchases BMC from Motion-Industries to better serve Ohio clients with specialty bearings.

• BMC aquired RPC - Rotation Products Corpotation. RPC was established n 1985 by a group of bearing engineers to serve a market niche in the Heavy Industrial Bearing Industry with reliable quality bearing remanufacturing and repair. BMC continues to service this market niche and provide superior quality, service and savings.

• BMC moved into a brand new facility in Strongsville, Ohio where we can manufacture ball and cylindrical roller bearings as well as inspect, repair and modify a wide range of customer bearings

  

• BMC acquired the Stearns Stafford Roller Bearing Division in 2009. Stearns & Stafford was established in 1922 and manufactured cylindrical, journal and thrust bearings for a wide ranged of industries including Paper, steel, and oil patch. We continue to manufacture the product line to this day.

• Today, BMC stands as an independent manufacturer of special ball and cylindrical roller bearings. Our 85+ year history of manufacturing quality bearings has given us the knowledge and expertise to service any of your bearing modification or manufacturing needs.
