History

Bearings Manufacturing Company (BMC) was established in 1934 by Les Berry, founder of the Berry Bearing distributor network. It was created to recondition bearings for the local industry, which were in short supply during the “Depression” years.

Over the years it served as a modification and specialty bearing shop for the Berry Bearing Company. Motion Industries acquired the Berry Bearing Company in 1993 and then sold it in November of 1999. BMC manufactures custom machined parts to customer specifications for many large OEM’s. In addition BMC supplies many bearing sizes to the Aerospace, Printing, Steel mill, and Paper mill industries; which are sold through the local industrial bearing distributors.

Today, BMC stands as an independent manufacturer of special ball and cylindrical roller bearings. Our 66 year history of manufacturing quality bearings has given us the knowledge and expertise to service any of your bearing modification or manufacturing needs. Inquiries for small quantities, often turned down by the major manufacturers, are always welcome at BMC.
